Crazy Tragic Almost Magic: Challenge Accepted

Challenge Accepted

The weekend is over, Monday is here because it doesn't get the hint that it can't sit with us, and since I did something other than watch Netflix.... let's recap!

Friday night K and I watched About Last Night with Michael Ealy (swoon) and Kevin Hart. It was definitely a rom-com, but we liked it.

I haven't stepped on a scale in forever so I went to WW hoping to just weigh in and stay for the meeting. The receptionist told me it would be $34. I obviously turned around and left.

Then I headed over to my blood donation appointment and wooo!, I got to donate.

Then K and I headed down to our friends house for the rest of the weekend. I have to say, sometimes adult sleepovers are kind of awesome.

And because I'm all about doing something for charity, we all did the ALS ice bucket challenge to raise awareness for ALS. I made sure to donate monetarily as well.

Sunday morning included a trip to Denny's. I don't care what you say, Denny's is the greatest breakfast diner on the planet.

Remember the meltdown from a couple weeks ago? With the insurance and tuition and student loans? I finally got a handle on some of it and although I'm not out of the woods yet, I'm feeling much better about it. Everything is planned and budgeted for and it will all be taken care of.  BOOM!

I'm rested, I'm ready to take on the week and then play all weekend with Little Miss! I just love when she's here.

And with that, over and out!

  1. Congratulations on doing the ice bucket challenge. Now that I've learned more about it I'm not such a huge fan of it though. It works that you can either donate $100 or dump a bucket of water on your head and donate $10. All these rich people should just donate $100, surely? If you want a random pair of scales head to your gym. At least, that's what I did once. My gym has some nice scales that unfortunately told me I had gained weight.

  2. Adult sleepovers are the BEST!

  3. Whew! So glad to hear you're getting a handle on things and feeling a bit more calm and in control :) hope you have a great week!

  4. Ahhh how I miss a good sleepover! Hopefully next month I will go on one! Congrats on the Ice Bucket Challenge- and getting everything in order. Such a great feeling. Good luck!

  5. i love adult sleepovers!

that was a HUGGGEEE bucket of water.

i like the fact you did the water challenge but ALSO donated. :)

  6. Aww congrats on doing the challenge!!! And more so for donating! I keep seeing the vids the celebs do every day and I keep wondering if they are actually donating to the cause!

  7. Good for you for donating! So many people are wasting water just to avoid donating. Will got nominated, but we donated to another charity for a friend, and figured best not to waste the water. I'm all about awareness, but some people are taking this too far, haha.
